Quick Summary

For serious bloggers looking to monetize from their site then rest assured Thesis is the theme you need yesterday.

The developers took it up a few big notches and made sure it was a super SEO friendly with easy-to-use tools all backed by industry leading customer support.

This powerful combination gives you the advantage that no other blogger has. If you want to be taken seriously then you need serious tools. Thesis gives you all that and more.

Google’s own Matt Cutts uses Thesis. Enough said.

The Full Review

Everybody can agree that search engines love WordPress sites. Its very nature as a blogging software tells search engines right away that new fresh content will be added on a constant basis.

An icing on the cake is the seo friendly default theme that helps site owners rank highly as well.

But of course we all know that the first thing everybody does is replace the unappealing default theme with a more sexier free one from WordPress.org.

Which in turn also screws up the seo friendliness of your website.

Doh!

If your hoping to monetize from your website and also want people to find you in the search engines then SEO should be an important factor for you.

So now the question is where can you find a nice looking theme that’s also seo friendly?

I’d like to introduce you to…drum roll please…Thesis by DIYthemes!

In this Thesis review I’ll be going over what makes this theme so wonderful and how it can totally benefit your own blog. Yes its about as good as it gets when it comes to a premium wordpress theme.

Thesis is a well respected theme in the WordPress community. But calling it merely a theme is such an understatement! It offers so much more than your typical free WordPress theme. It enhances and improves the functionality of your blog by giving you powerful tools that you can easily use to shape and form your blog to anything you want without ever having to mess around with original raw code.

No other premium theme out there provides you with this much control. Period.

Check out Thesis Gallery Showcase here.

One of the issues I’ve always had with online cms aka content management systems or other blogging software was that if you made considerable changes to the core files then it was always a hassle when a new update to the software was available.

Why? Because you now had to go back and do the same changes to all the new updates! Very time consuming.

Leave it to DIYthemes to create a theme called Thesis that would totally change the game. And this was from a theme!

With Thesis now all of your custom changes were done within two central files. And if there were updates from WordPress or Thesis then you can rest easy knowing that your custom changes will stay intact.

Genius!

Even Google’s own Matt Cutt uses Thesis theme for his personal blog. If that doesn’t say enough about this theme then I don’t what else will.

I’d go as far as to say that Thesis should have been the default theme. It’s the perfect starting ground for any budding blogger who is hoping to grow and mature with their website.

One of the unbeatable aspects of Thesis is that its backed up by supportive group of people who hang around the Thesis community forums and answer any questions that you may have no matter how newbie it is. No, you won’t find here the so called experts who’s only main purpose in life is to flame you.

Its unbeatable customer service like this that’s backed by one of the best WordPress themes in the industry and you have winning combination. Check out Thesis’s customer testimonials here.

It’s a no brainer that you need to get this theme now. It’ll be the best investment you’ll make if you are serious about growing your blog, have it ranked highly and monetize from it.

Yes, if you haven’t noticed by now this blog is being energized by Thesis. The ability to customize it anyway you want is quite staggering.

However Thesis is not without its faults.

The only real issue I see with Thesis is that it’s always easy to tell when you’ve stumbled onto another blogger who’s using the same them. However this is a minor issue. It’s entirely possible to shape and mold thesis to anyway you want it to look. Your only limited by your imagination.

An issue I originally had with this theme was that if you pasted a custom html code onto your blog then for some odd reason it didn’t display correctly. After some Googling around turns out it wasn’t a Thesis issue rather it was WordPress at fault. Currently I haven’t found a solution to this but do take note that its not a Thesis problem.

Thesis comes in two purchasing options; the Personal Option at $87 and the Developers Option at $164.

With the Personal Option you get to only install Thesis on one website and you must leave the footer intact. With the Developers Option you can install it on an unlimited amount of websites and you can change the footer to your very own copyright.

I highly recommend you get the Developers Option if you plan on having more than one blog. It’s a small price to pay for a huge return down the road when you start making money with your blog. I have Thesis on numerous websites and have no regrets on this wonderful purchase.

Closing Comments

Hope you found my Thesis review helpful in making your decision. Thesis is a wonderful SEO optimized premium theme that goes further than just giving your blog a new fresh look. With little to gripe about and backed by awesome customer support and an active community it’s safe to say this is one purchase you won’t regret. For the budding blogger hoping to grow and monetize from their blog this Thesis is a no brainer.

PROS

  • Thesis improves and enhances the SEO of WordPress. Does not hinder it like free themes.
  • Nice clean design provides a great starting point
  • Additional admin tools adds awesome functionality to Thesis
  • Awesome customer support
  • No more messing with the original core files. All custom work is done with two files that won’t get over written when new updates are available. Clever!
  • Active community forums. Help is only a few clicks away.
  • Lifetime theme updates

CONS

  • Once you’ve used Thesis you’ll instantly start to recognize other bloggers who also use the theme. However customizing Thesis to distinguish yourself from other bloggers is not that difficult.
  • At $87 for the Personal Option and $164 for the Developers Option it’s not cheap for a theme. However Thesis goes far beyond just providing you with a new look. Your only limitation is your imagination.

Important: “All of the reviews on my website are REAL reviews of programs that I have tried myself and paid good money for. Just like you I got fed up with reading fake review websites where the author had actually never tried the program. You won’t get any of that BS here. This is the read deal.

I’d also like to note that my reviews will include scary affiliate links so essentially I’ll make a few bucks if you decide to check out the program yourself. Yay! Thanks for the support!”

I agree with you. I was afraid at first of my site being so similar to other people’s, but when I did a little research, I realized that I could pretty much do anything I wanted with Thesis.

I upgraded yesterday from Blogger to self-hosted WordPress with Thesis, and I can already tell you that the flexibility WP/Thesis has given me means I will *never* go back to Blogger.

Congrats on the move! Thesis is definitely the theme everybody should get if they want to kick butt on the internet. But yea, totally beats having your blog on blogger or some other site that doesn’t offer you the flexibility to grow as your needs expand.

It looks like I’ll have to pick this up eventually, so many tools, so little time/money!

I have it set up on a dozen different sites and if you plan to do the same then definitely get the developers version.
